Thank you for purchasing a Brother Product.

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, Brother guarantees that it will repair the product where there is a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship (the “Warranty”) within the warranty periods indicated below.

Warranty Periods

If you register your product with us on the 8th to 30th day from the date of purchase, you will have the corresponding Warranty starting from the purchase date. Otherwise, we only offer a one year “Bring-in” Warranty from product production date.

* All warranties are not applicable to store display products.

   All warranties are only applied to the products of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  1. The warranty is valid only for product sold by Brother in Hong Kong SAR ONLY.
  2. Users should read the User's Guide / Owner's Manual and other literature supplied with the products carefully as any misuse or failure to follow the instructions may render this Warranty void
  3. This warranty is not transferable and excludes routine maintenance, routine checking or cleaning, consumables, service maintenance kits and damage caused by misuse or negligence. Any work arising from these instances will be chargeable.

LIMITATIONS:

  1. The warranty do not apply to any of the followings:
    4.1 any damage or defect caused to the products due to the use of non-Brother consumables, non-Brother print cartridge or refilled print cartridge, such as drum unit, toner, ink cartridge or ribbon.

    4.2 any damage or defect due to misuse, negligence or use not in accordance with the user manual.
     

    4.3 any damage or defect due to exposure of the products by the customer to unusual physical or electrical stress or any failure or fluctuation of electrical power, air conditioning, humidity control, insect, Acts of God or other environmental controls.
     

    4.4 limited life components or parts such as heat fixing/Fuser unit for laser/LED products, print head for ink jet products.
     

    4.5 any electrical devices external to the products.
     

    4.6 any modifications, adjustment, repair or disassemble to the products made by a third party or user without the written consent of Brother.
     

    4.7 the original invoice or warranty is lost.
     

    4.8 the serial number has been altered, effaced and / or removed.
     

    4.9 Any software which may be included with the product. (For all terms and conditions to warranty of software, please see End User License Agreements applies to each software products)
     

    4.10 any consumable or service items including the following:

  • Toner, Drum Unit, Ink Cartridge or any other consumable items.
  • Memory cards or any other accessory items which are not permanently installed in the product.
  • Plastic covers, front panel & paper tray
  • Batteries, power adaptors, cables
  • Rubber parts and cutter

 

  1. The Warranty will be invalidated if any of the terms and conditions of Warranty is not met. This includes if the product is installed incorrectly or in an unsuitable position, or if the customer does not provide proper or adequate maintenance. Please read the documentation that came with your product, as it details all of these conditions.

TYPES OF WARRANTY SERVICES

  1. Based on Brother’s Warranty stated herein, Brother may provide “On-site” repair service and/or “Bring-in” repair service, subject to terms and conditions provided herein.
  2. “On-site” repair service shall mean repairing services for your Brother products (but limited to products listed above) performed by Brother technicians at the customer’s designated place (but limited within the areas provided hereunder).
  3. “Bring-in” repair service shall mean all repairing service for Brother products (but limited to products listed above) by Brother technicians at Brother’s “Bring-in” Repair Service Centre designated above.
  4. “Pickup and Delivery Service”means that Brother provide onsite pickup and delivery service when Brother received customer's request for repairing service for Brother products (but limited to products listed in warranty page of website that entitled to the related service).

  5. “On-site” repair service areas include Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Urban Town Centers along MTR routes and Tung Chung.
  6. For restricted areas, airport restricted area, construction areas, lot area, unknown area, remote area, Lo Wu and boats areas, the customer will be responsible for transporting the equipment to a location listed in (5) and then call for “On-site” repair service or directly bring the equipment to “Bring-in” Repair Service Centre designated above.
  7. In off shore island or outlying islands (except Tung Chung region in Lantau), or the location that cannot reach by public transportation*, extra transportation fee will be charged to customer as per each visit.

* Public transportation excludes Residents' Service / Staff Bus Service and Taxi.

CHARGES

If the Services are requested without any reasonable justification, whether during the Warranty Period or otherwise, by reason of any defect in or malfunction of the product due to causes not covered by these Warranties, the Buyer shall be liable to pay the Supplier\'s standard charges from time to time in force for such Services.

To receive your free 3 years warranty, you have to register your warranty after 7 days and within 30 days from the date of purchase. Details please refer to the warranty reference chart.

In case of any disputes, Brother reserves the right to make decision.
